PG CPR: A free, easy-to-use CPR & first aid app

At Health & Safety Training we’re always looking to support local businesses who want to make a difference in our industry, which is why we want to put a spotlight on PG CPR – a free, easy-to-use app which provides CPR and first aid guidance.

The app itself was inspired by Paul Gardner, who died on his 24th birthday whilst on holiday in Ibiza. Paul and his friends were jumping from the rocks into the sea and whilst swimming back to shore, Paul encountered some difficulty and passed out due to fatigue.

Tragically, out of all the friends that were on that trip, it was only Paul himself that knew how to perform CPR. No one could assist him.

In memory of Paul, and to ensure that others who find themselves in such an emergency have help and guidance, Paul’s family have raised money to develop an app which provides step-by-step guidance on performing CPR. The app itself is simple, intuitive and offers a wealth of vital information.

Alongside their work developing the app, PG CPR has raised money for the installation of defibrillators in around North Shields, where Paul was born and raised. They’re already saving lives.

If you would like to download the app, help further a worthy cause, or learn more about Paul’s story, you can visit https://pg-cpr.co.uk/
