Are you ready for the IOSH conference 2015?

If you work in the health and safety industry, chances are you’ll be attending the IOSH annual conference on the 16th and 17th June 2015.

Primarily aimed at people in senior positions, or leaders within the health and safety industry, this year’s conference is promising 2 days of specialist speakers from all over the world. They’ll be sharing new ideas and initiatives, as well as successful case studies and a thorough examination of strategies that will allow attendees to apply innovations to their day-to-day work.

Leadership in Action

This year’s theme will be ‘Leadership in Action,’ and will be focusing on inspiring leadership, how to recognise leadership qualities and how to put them to use in a sector that is often in a state of flux. The event will provide the opportunity to find out how others have managed success in similar environments, despite greater and greater strain on resources. There will also be useful sections on avoiding potential issues, as well as information on legislative changes that may affect your working methods.

TheSafety and Health Expo will also give you a great chance to network within the industry and discuss innovations, product launches and new services, as well as generally increase your understanding of health and safety, both in the UK and across the globe.

New to this year’s event will be a series of features, including:

  • Live publishing of polls, comments and questions from attendees, in real time for an interactive experience.
  • A speakers’ corner, with the chance to discuss presentations and ask questions.
  • The IOSH 2015 hotel will be available so you can continue networking and discussions in a more social setting.
  • The chance to track occupational health strategies, to help you bring together a working strategy that combines occupational health, wellbeing and hygiene.

Leading Safely

There will also be an introduction to the IOSH Leading Safely course, which will provide a focused approach to relevant and high quality training. It has been designed to help anyone in a position of authority within a business keep their health and safety policies and strategy in line with the latest advice and legislation.

The course, the Expo and the conference will all be ideal opportunities for anyone looking at Continuing Professional Development (CPD), with credits being awarded for how much is learned on reflection of the event.

CPD is all about enhancing your knowledge and skill by staying current in your industry. So if you attend, keep track of all the activities, workshops and presentations you get involved with.
